Congratulations on your upcoming move to Oostzijderpark!
Will you travel differently after your move? For example, will you take the train or bus more often because there are more options for public transport?
We are curious whether you are going to travel differently or want to travel differently. And how we can help you with this. We therefore ask you to fill out a short questionnaire twice. The first can be found via the link on this website. The second will follow after 6 months.
How do you participate?
Participating in the survey is easy: Fill in the questionnaire and answer the questions. If you participate, you will receive a discount link from us for a free discount subscription (NS Flex Dal Voordeel) for 6 months and 2 free day tickets for EBS bus transport. In addition, we share – for inspiration – information about beautiful walking and cycling routes to discover your new neighborhood.
Why are we doing this research?
We are investigating how new residents of Oostzijderpark can be stimulated to travel more sustainably. If successful, we will expand this approach to other new construction projects in the region. The research will run until April 2025.

The aim of this pilot is to investigate how we can help new residents to travel more sustainably (more often).
This research is being conducted by Ideate on behalf of the municipality of Zaanstad, the Amsterdam Transport Region and NS, in collaboration with EBS.
You can participate in the research by completing the questionnaire and leaving your contact details.
The research will run until April 2025. During this time, you will be asked to complete one more questionnaire. In addition, we want to organize various activities that are linked to the research, such as promotions, competitions and photo contests.
As a thank you for your participation, you will receive a gift with an NS discount subscription for 6 months (NS Flex Dal Voordeel), walking and cycling routes to explore your new neighborhood and 2 free day tickets for bus transport (EBS).
An NS Flex Dal Voordeel subscription is a subscription from NS that allows you to travel flexibly and receive a discount on train journeys in the Netherlands. With this card you receive a 40% discount on travel during off-peak hours, i.e. outside rush hour. Off-peak hours are on weekdays from 9:00 to 16:00 and from 18:30 to 6:30, and all day on weekends and public holidays. Click here for more information.
A day ticket for the bus (EBS) is a ticket that allows you to travel unlimitedly for a whole day on the EBS buses within the specified area. Request the bus tickets via the link that you will find on the flyers in your welcome gift.

The welcome gift will be sent to the address you provided at the end of the questionnaire. Don't forget to provide your new home address. You will receive the gift within a few weeks of completing the questionnaire.
Each household will receive a maximum of one welcome gift. This package contains a maximum of two NS discount subscriptions and two day tickets for the bus (EBS).
